I grew up camping with my family. We spent two weeks every summer at Bogue Inlet campground in NC on the coast. We had a pop-up camper that I wish I still had. As a teenager we spent weekends camping in the woods behind my parents house. We had a few acres of land and it was pretty wooded area and fun to hang out. We had a place to make a fire when we camped out.

When I was in college I camped about every weekend with my roommates and we went down in the woods way back off the beaten path and stayed in tents beside a creek with trout and other native species. Camping is something I have not done in a few years but I plan to go camping for a weekend in the mountains when school gets out in June. My old camping buddy passes away a few years ago, but he will be with me in spirit when I stay at the old site we used on that creek in the mountains.
