The Four D’s of LIfe

We have to know that life can be tough and the only way to overcome it and live our best life is to attack it. To attack life we have to have a plan. My plan has always been the four D’s of life.

Dedication- You have to be dedicated to whatever is important to you in life. Be it your family, faith, career, relationships, sports, working out, etc. You have to dedicate to become successful and stay successful. it is easy to give up and not keep going and I know this well. Your dreams will not chase you, you have to chase them.

Determination- You have to be determined to become the best version of you. Whatever that version is and whatever those goals are to be that version. You have to be determined to push through it all. The good, the bad and the ugly of life. Determination is about grit and being a fighter that survives, then thrives.

Desire- Desire is the hunger to get things done. What do you desire in life and how do you go find that desire? Some desire the wrong things and crave that instant hunger feed such as drugs, sexual addiction or alcohol. I am talking about desiring the good things in life. Healthy relationships. friends, family, careers, success, money, achievement and whatever you desire. You must work towards what you desire or it will always be out there just a stone’s throw away from you and that desire will never payoff.

Discipline- You have to be disciplined in life to get things done. You have to fight through the distractions, setbacks and issues that come your way in life. Being a disciplined person is what it takes to overcome, battle, fight and make it big in life. Set goals, push yourself, check yourself daily and watch those successes happen to you and those around you.

There are many other things but these are what I tell my students in career class to focus on. Nothing beats hard work, time, energy and patience in life. Those things all include the four above and will help you find that success not matter that looks like to you.
