I was having a really bad time and rough day many years ago. I was driving down the mountain and saw this long haired guy hitch hiking. I drove past him and thought “maybe I should have offered him a ride”. A few miles down the mountain I saw him again, so I stopped to check on him and my mind was a buzz about seeing him again. I knew that was impossible as a human so I had to stop. He got into my truck and I asked him where he was going and he said, “anywhere you want to take me”. We rode about 5 miles and he said stop and let me out here. He walked around to my window and thanked me and handed me a small wooden cross. He looked me in the eye and said, “remember God loves you” and started walking back up the mountain road.
I sat and thought about it and stared at the small wooden cross that I still have to this day. I went to pull out and looked back and he was gone. Nowhere to be seen. He told me during the brief time we traveled that he was John and he was a traveler of the world. He was raggedly dressed but clean. He was special and I know he was an Angel. God sent me that Angel on one of the worst days and weeks of my life.
