What does freedom mean to you?

Daily writing prompt
What does freedom mean to you?

This writing prompt is something has been on my mind a lot lately with all the demonstrations and protesting going on in America. The last few weeks we have seen people taking others rights away, blocking traffic, blocking other students from going to school or class. Stopping traffic by laying in the highway. Tearing up buildings and cities because they disagree with you on political or ideology. Freedom to me is what is has always been and should be again in America. Freedom to me is the below!

1- Freedom to speak your thoughts without having someone try to cancel, block, squash, condemn or threaten you.

2- Freedom to drive to work, school, shopping or routine daily travel without a crazy person laying in the streets blocking you.

3- Freedom to worship whomever you want and when you want without prejudice. Believe what you want and leave others alone in what they believe.

4- Freedom to work hard, pursue a career and make a life for your family without having to support those that refuse to work, try or chase dreams.

5- Freedom to own a firearm of choice and use it for protection of family and to source food via hunting for your family. If you do not want a firearm fine, but leave everyone else alone.

6- Freedom to own land, a business, farm, or whatever you can afford and purchase.

7- Freedom to kick squatters and dead beats off of the land or out of the home you bought and paid for. They have no rights to claim what is not theirs by law.

8- Freedom to get an education via school, training, college, tech school or on the job.

9- Freedom to marry who you want and leave everyone else out of your thought process, If you choose an alternative lifestyle fine. Choose it and let it be. Do not force your ways on me or my children.

10- Freedom to pursue life, liberty and justice. These things are not to be taken lightly and are at risk right now. The crazies radicals are trying to take these away from a ideology that is harming not only America but the world population.

There are many more but I have the freedoms to do these things and as a Gen X older person my GAF or concern for those that choose to try and limit these things is gone. So I truly believe in FAFO as a general rule now that the world has changed. Try to take these away from the common sense person with good old American values and one might FAFO.
